EXXI put our a new presentation today that showed another farm in, this time with Apache. I have not been real pleased with the stock performance but after looking through this presentation, I love the business plan and will continue to hold. They do seem to have a bit to much on their plate and this may be what is slowing the growth in total production. They have some very nice exploitation holdings and the deal with Apache increases these.
It looks like they are spending around 10% of capex on the ultra deep. This may be a good long term hedge on the rising price of natural gas. If they can make a couple of these work and find out their true costs, then development can be done as the price gas allows. I would think it would have to be North of $4.
EXXI does a great job with their presentations and I learn something new about offshore production every time I read one. There is a lot of oil out there that you don't have to look for. You just have to figure out how to recover another 10%. Look it over if interested. I don't think Yahoo will let me post a link.
I added a bit here for the first time since my original purchase in 2009. It just seems to cheap. Maybe there is a reason it is and next quarters results should confirm the weakness or the returning to growth. We shall see.
A discovery at Lineham Creek would certainly help.
