just doubled so Barron's calls a top a buy?

was under $10 a couple months or so ago

of course it was at $50 as well

    but who uses American Express

wasn't there an article from WSJ or Barrons recently saying they were in trouble?

    • Short % of Float (as of 10-Mar-09)3: 3.70%

March 10. A lot of shorts may have covered, and there were only 3.7% on March 10. Don't expect a big short squeeze from here.

      • This company is stumbling forward on momentum and a brand created by people long gone and forgotten. The brand is deteriorating faster than you can say "my 100k household spend is now 100% on MC or Visa, there is no succession planning (can anyone imagine Ed Gilligan or Al Kelly as CEO? What about Bill Glenn?) Ken is a ghost of his former self. His value destroying leaders have each made more in cash and restricted stock than Harvey Golub ever made when he resurrected this once great company. He has been reduced him to a hollow talking head, albeit with useful ties to Rangel and Obama ($5billion govt bailout ceiling anyone?) secluded on 51, told by those on 50 and 40 what goes on in lands they last saw in 02. Anyone good still there is looking to bail faster than you can say "I predicted Lehman" or Al Jelly cares about his people (love it when his special hamburger gets delivered to lunch meetings by a tuxedoed waiter on formal, silver topped china while others eat from the cafeteria! Shrinking office space for all. Hey, if you reduce your own fat, I cant even fit in my ever shrinking cube that 10 years ago was an office What a joke
