Does AXP have to change its business fee now? or it is just a lawsuit that does not mean much? I heard that this lawsuit can last for several years. In the meantime, does the company has to change its fee structure?
... American Express is not considered to be in violation of any laws, and is free to continue to bargain openly and freely in the marketplace with merchants. This could actually be an advantage to American Express over its competitors Visa and MasterCard, as they have rolled over to the Feds and agreed to surrender their rights in the marketplace.
