So many people with so much

negative information. They must not hold the stock. So why do they keep coming back to the board to keep beating the old drum? Altruism? Make sure nobody loses money? Thanks

    • Ever notice how many ppl here question how DCIX can pay out such a high div, and they wonder if it's sustainable, or have YOU ever checked out the fact that a payout ratio of 455% is kind of high (I wonder if someone knows something WE don't)
disclaimer: no guru here, just a slow-learner, doin' this too many years, paddlin' as fast as I can.....

      • I don't think that anyone here isn concerned. It is a gamble and anyone who is betting a large chunk of their portfilio should reconsider. But i have already collected over 1.20 in dividendends and at the current price am a little above water at the current price. I also don,t think its fair for some analyst to come and make predictions as to when and exactly how much they will have to cut the dividend. Even with the ships coming off of contract. they could scrap all those ships and maintain the dividend for anther year just off the money from the scrap.I have followed the parent compnay DSX since about 2009. Good mangemnet and a very well ran company. I believe DCIX mangement team came from dsx. I will bet on good mangement every time.

    • well said, there are people actual complaining about how the dividend is structured, news flash the only time you pay taxes is when you make money.

      • You're an idiot!
Whether a dividend is taxed as a dividend or a s ROC is a pertinent question.
Anyone trying to kill an intelligent discussion, is incapable of joining in one.
The fact that you don't know the difference suggests you don't have a clue what you own.

The fact that you are complain about a discussion of fundamentals reveals that you don't know any.
The fact that you question someones position in the stock when you don't know how to argue fundamentals, proves that you are a little pumping jerk.
The suggestion that someone is only mentioning the negative parts of a company because they are short, is an infantile tactic.

The fact that you think this company should continue the dividend with cash from selling off ships for scrap shows you absolutely clueless about this company, it's financial condition, the amount of dilution, the debt against the scrapped ships,

If this company keeps selling shares, and selling ships, in order to pay you your 30 cents per quarter, you won't need to understand the consequences of ROC.

      • Key word, ajb,: when you "MAKE" money..... there's a difference between "making" money and "being told" you're making money when you're really not....
Or.... being told the money you receive is "not taxable" (but you get to pay tax on it later).....
But, that's ok, keep the blinders on - that way the rich can keep on gettin' richer and vice-reversa.....(I know, that's not really the correct spelling - but I just happen to prefer truth, and if I can "make" some money in the process, well, o.k. too.....)
