    QTRN at 18

I picked up quite a few QTRN at 18.. my spouse
works in a small clinical trial company and some of the
folks in that company seemed to think that this is a
great buy at this price.. I would appreciate some
financial analysis.. 1. how do you feel about the P/E of 15
    and PEG of 0.91...
    2. who is the nearest
competitor for this company and how good are they ?
    3. I
work for a drug company and know that there are a
whole bunch of new drugs in the pipeline, who else is
out there who can carry out these large scale clin.
    trials ?

    • I have no idea why you people made such a big
deal about Strickland leaving. He was not a senior
executive. There has been no comment about Stack leaving
Innovex USA as CEO. While he too may have been
"technically illiterate" as some felt Strickland was, unlike
Strickland, he built a considerable business base for the
next management team to launch from. I agree that the
S&P momentum is occurring at the same time and may be
a bigger deal this week. Nevertheless, why bother
about Strickland (a director level, VP level?), when a
      business entrepreneur is leaving.

      By the way, does
anyone know where Stack is going? I would guess he would
      have a big-time non-compete!

    • Thank you for your response even though you
missed my point. At the risk of getting technical, the
10-Q filed 8/13/99 for the quarter ending 6/3/99 shows
on p.8 ENVOY income (in 000) for the previous six
months of $54,468 versus $85,473 for the corresponding
1998 time periods. On p.11 is shown Quinternet
Informatics income of $125,148, a difference of $70,680. This
difference should be Scott-Levin, SMG and Synergy (anything
else?) These groups have never done that kind of income.
The 10-Q also states that there is no significant
intersegment income-e.g. transfers from the CRO or CSO
businesses. It will be very interesting to see the 10-Q for
the third quarter. It should be out soon.

    • well, it kind of comes from envoy... envoy's internet based transactions and also from envoy's synergy which was merged into innovex i believe. imoo

    • Is the Stack "retirement" a positive or negative
situation? It should be noted that Stack built the US CSO
business from zero to slightly south of $300 million.
Before Mauzey got on board, Stack did report to White
who was on the Board of Directors. Is Mauzey bringing
      in his team?
      New question-2Q99 SEC filing shows
significant Quinternet Informatics income. Where the f---
      does it come from-not ENVOY!

    • Are for the best...Ogle and company drove us to
the brink with their pushing for unrealistic
targets..Dennis is pissed and cleaning house in his own way. More
changes are in the work and should result in a stronger

    • Senior Management at Innovex USA/QTRN is leaving. What will it do to the stock price?

    • we'll see a nice pop to 22$ or over.

    • 1) I got NO PHOTO!
      2) No Real Name
      3) And
      No e-mail address
      4) Under Location I get a City
and State BUT.. NO -- Street address and NO PHONE

      You are
      a Hypocrite!
I nominate you for the "Darwin
Please remove yourself from the "gene -

    • I agree - but I am also not mentioning other
people in my posts. I simply believe that people
shouldn't specifically identify individuals if they aren't
willing to post their own identity.

      As far as
management leaving you may be right. I would imagine some
changes are being facilitated by Q. However, let's not
kid ourselves, others are going on their own accord
for better opportunities. Not sure anyone who that
was wooed by the golden handcuffs - options - still
feel as strongly as they did say several months

Loyalty in the ranks needs to be developed over time and
merging a bunch of acquistions together always causes

      Nuff said.

    • I don't see you rushing to put your name all over
      your messages.

      Message boards like this are
often the only place people in a competetive industry
(outside each others own company) can talk about things
      without much worry.

I do think the one of the
initial posters was a little off base in freaking out
over Q's top management jumping ship. I would imagine
anyone leaving right now is probably being asked to
leave to make room for the necessary changes to improve
      Q's position.

Q is fine and will be fine.
Probably better off than anyone else in the industry
during a storm. There is no such thing as a hurricane
proof house, but Q is about as sure a bet as there is
in this industry. I would take any management
changes made within Q positively at this time and would
      actually expect to see more.

      I'm surprised we have
not heard about more, but maybe they are taking a
soft bat to this current issue only to clear the bases
      in the long run.
