Like the west consumes Starbucks. Here in HK there are stores selling gold (including coins) on almost every street corner and on the weekends they are packed. When gold dropped a few weeks back the mainland Chinese flooded down to Kowloon and snapped up massive amounts of gold. Keep in mind that giving gold, as well as owning it, is a sign of prosperity.
The take away is obvious....there is plenty of growth ahead for the office here in HK as well as in mainland China.
This was confirmed by my recent visit and learning that submissions have tripled in the first 5 months with that number growing by 20-30%/month.
With this growth and the opportunities here in China, i don't think we'll need to worry any about BK or the divi payment from here on out.
Just my 2 cents.
Excellent. Is there any way to get some hard, empirical data about how much volume is originating from the Hong Kong office? How many coins are being graded over there on a monthly basis? Does someone know?
