    Ouch

Someone is not playing nice.. Hey Fred I think firing all your managers who helped you grow that company for nothing to a billion dollar company has come back to show you the market does not like your actions. It was in the down grade about your actions that you allowed your new jci puppets to first talk you into replacing the talent with friends of the crooks you have running the place... Now I really do wonder why Steve D was let go hmmm and Connie h hmmmm . I guess we will wait and see, I really do hope the best for Gentex as it once was a fantastic company to work for, but the rats have moved in house .... Fred you better start stroking the market analyst. Great quarter good sales and even increased net and margins but sorry to say your decisions the last few years has left a bad taste in your community also.

    • I was one of those managers. As of late, the smart ones are starting to jump ship because they see the writing on the wall. It *was* a good place to work but a lot has changed in the last few re-organizations. It really is a shame how my friends that still work there are miserable and looking for employment elsewhere.

As for good margins ... not for long! Spending $700 million for a product worth $200 million that has 2 year life left at best to protect their current HomeLink products? Now the HomeLink products they sell without the EC IP are diluting the profit margins of the rest of their profits. Another great decision by the "New & Improved" Upper Management!

So now margins have diluted and they are in debt for the first time ever ... BRILLIANT!

It is going to take much more than a good stroking!

      Sentiment: Strong Sell

    • What do you mean? You don't think it was in the best interest of the community to ask the taxpayers of Zeeland for some Corporate Welfare (tax abatements) in return for a promised 100 jobs (low paying factory jobs) while you were hustling the 45 55 year old crowd (high paying engineers) out the back door?
