IF SUPERMARKET DIDN'T WORK FOR CITI... WHY WOULD IT WORK FOR HRB?

    Bank

    Mortgage Lender (broker)

    Credit Card Issuer

    Financial Planning

    Tax Preparation

    What's next? Home Mortage Insurance?

Citi couldn't incorporate a cross-sell business model, but HRB thinks relying on seasonal tax preparers (with little or no financial background) to do it?

HRB has played follow the leader in the financaial markets (and came late to the party), as its lead in the tax prep business continues to narrow.

If HRB wanted to get into the financial markets, they should have made a bid for Raymond James. It's clear that HRB is dead set on banging its head against the same wall and lacks the vision and leadership needed to enhance shareholder value.
