NEWS - HRB COMMENTS ON AMT PATCH JUST PASSED

HRB is fishing for free publicity by the news release. IMHO H&R Block will do inverview about what was once called the "Rapid Refund" Am I correct they H&R was sued and must now use the word loan now when they advertise a "Rapid Refund" ?

    • The term "Rapid Refund" is a trademark of H&R Block and refers to all electronic filing products. E-Filing cuts the turn around time for a refund by 3 to 4 weeks as opposed to a mailed return. Many Taxpayers and Blocks competitors incorrectly associate the term "Rapid Refund" with the
      Refund Anticipation Loan.

      • I just received an email from someone at H&R Block in Kansas that said if I do not remove the advertising rapid refund in connection with a RAL within 10 days from my website legal proceeding will start. They state the word Rapid Refund is a trademark of H&R Block. I never knew that. I see everyone is using it. How I was targted I do not know.

      • The entire country will disagree with you about that trademark. For example if you tell a person what does "Rapid Refund" mean? They will reply back and say RAL. At this point "Rapid Refund" can not be a trademark of H R Block, because there is no connection between the two and "Rapid Refund" does not remind people of H R Block (simply to prove this, just search the term "Rapid Refund" and people are not making connect to hrblock).

Just for your record HR Block as been found many times in using this term in bad faith with RAL.
