BUsh to sell F-15 jets to terrorists

    Well there you go!!!

Bush is back to the Reagan/Poppy Bush tricks------arming terrorist countries

The administration is poised to cave to pressure from Lockheed Martin to supply F-16 fighter jets to Pakistan.

The upcoming announcement which Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is expected to make during her trip to the region next week represents a reversal of longstanding policy.

The United States has previously refused to sell the jets to Pakistan and India to avoid "destabilizing the fragile political and military balance in the region."

The move could also "draw charges of a double standard from European countries since the U.S. has been criticizing the European Union's plan to lift its arms embargo on China."

    • "If I had killed your old lady and went to prison then USA goes to war and I get out, everything is kool between us."

For sure. BTW, I'm not disputing that we bribed their friendship. Our Gov't made it so obvious & blatent that I don't think any 'puke' would argue that point.

"GOP would pay anyone to be their friend at this point."

Only if they were of strategic importance. Zimbabwe, for instance, is a worthless nation to us.

    • "If I was bribed with over a $billion dollars I'd sent a few troops out into the unpopulated country side too"

Yeah, we bribed them. However they didn't send just a few troops over to the border... it was over 10,000. They have killed or captured 100's of terrorists, maybe thousands. If the leader of Pakistan could hand over Bin Laden I think he would readily do it. I can only imagine what rewards the U.S. would give back for doing that.

    • I get it.

If I had killed your old lady and went to prison then USA goes to war and I get out, everything is kool between us. Right?

No matter how you look at it, it was a bribe. GOP would pay anyone to be their friend at this point.

    • Trade sanctions likely. Pakistan wasn't on good terms with the U.S. until 9-11 events dictated that we strong arm them into friendship. As long as they are on the strategic ally list we're basically obligated to give them some kickbacks like these F-15's.

    • That works for me, Lockheed is a major customer of mine.

We get to sit back and count their money while Pakistan & India may end up destroying each other. If not, they'll use the weapons to put down terrorism. Arming both sides of a conflict is always a brilliant and lucrative strategy.

If they ever turn those weapons at the U.S. we'll just simply knock them down with a few greatly superior F-22 Raptors. WIN WIN WIN any way you look at it.
