      Mitt Romney: The attack in Libya is proof we need a businessman as president

      "Mitt" "Romney" "Libya" "Remarks" "businessman" "better" "off" "Free" "Wood" "Post" "Obama"

      Quick to respond to President Obama and his supposed response to the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, Mitt Romney told a number of reporters at a press conference that the American public would be better off with someone in charge who knew how to make a deal, no matter the cost.

      “What has happened in Libya is a senseless tragedy that may have been avoided if we approached our first dealings with the Libyan people as a business strategy and not the attempt at peaceful diplomacy. All diplomacy does is show the United States as weak sympathizers that apologize instead of go on the offensive attack to get the deal done. We needed to show not only Libya, but the rest of the world that we hold the dominate hand. We need to demand respect, not try to earn it by peaceful means and negotiation. We can’t negotiate with people who don’t see us as the strongest in the world. This is why we need someone with bold ideas who can get the job done with out pussyfooting around. The attack in Libya is proof we need a businessman as president. When I go after a deal, I don’t take no for an answer. I don’t care who I hurt, the deal gets done.”

      // ]]

      These comments come on the tail end of Romney’s statement before President Obama even had the chance to speak where he was responding to a statement which was referring to a film that may incite violence and occurred hours before the attack on the consulate took place. However instead of backing off his comments that seemed out-of-place and erroneous, he doubled down with his talk that if we had a businessman as president, the United States as well as the rest of the world would be better off.

      When it was brought up by a reporter at the press conference that Gov. Romney has no foreign policy experience besides knowing where he keeps his money, the Republican presidential nominee responded, “You don’t need foreign policy expertise to be president. All you need is just the right amount of gumption and the money to back it up.”

    • This may anger some of you but let's move on from Benghazi. I think we've beat it to death already. As a middle of the road 4th generation Republican I would like us to show the American people some positive approaches to some real problem areas like immigration (I'm not in favor of amnesty), gun control (I'm a Viet Nam Vet), and sources of renewable energy. I'm tired of furthering the Koch brother's agenda and that of the super rich. It's time the we middle class Republicans look out for our own interests and not those of big corporations and the very very rich. IMHO

    • If most Americans don't care about Benghazi then why don't you shut up about it?

    • why don't you kiss your own #$%$ you libtard #$%$

      Sentiment: Sell

    • Umm... FYI this is a stock board. Some people can't shut their yap about politics. Take your political rants somwhere else and...have a nice day. /Ignore

    • American's only care about what they are told to care about by mainstream media. So, while there could be outrage (and should be), the fact that mainstream media is bought and sold by the left wing they're not going to report on it, the NSA, the IRS, or any other scandals under this administration. These things get swept under the rug.

    • America doesn't care about four brave Americans being killed? What kind of idiot are you? Apparently the same kind as Hillary Clinton. If you think that way, you should just move to Iran or Syria and see how you like it.. We don't need your kind in America. May you be on the front line if we are ever attacked. Don't bother replying. You are on ignore!!!!

      Sentiment: Hold
