It appears that the company is opening Rack stores at a feverish pitch, and not many mainline stores. Yet when monthly comps come out Wall Street only focus on the mainline stores. The biggest increases are in the Rack, and the online business.
As well Nordstrom has all but cleared out all the mainline stores experienced managers over 35 and replaced them with inexperienced twenty something's to help circumvent the potential costs of Obamacare. As always you get what you pay for....How this will play out is yet to be seen.

Nordstrom would have to be very stupid to maintain policies such as you suggest - I guess we will all sti back and see if as you suggest future profitability will be negatively affected due to the reasons you have suggested.
Because you don't agree with ones premise, you need not revert to insults. I know you folks on the left isle are so invested in the outcome of the ACA that you lose perspective sometimes. It's not just Nordstrom, countless other companies are changing their hiring and staffing to address the coming changes under the new ACA law.
I would like to hear your view as why Nordstrom is pursuing these polices I mentioned, I'll keep an open mind.
