    Cerp Compostable Resin

was freddie's first launch over 8 years ago..so a pr is released today about compostable straws....really...it took the market 8 years to say "wow, we need to produce compostable straws"...yep....and the Board thinks this is just what cerp needs to get to the next level....I may go see my favorite bartender right now....this place is getting nuttierinelsegundo by the minute....

    • Its laughable because the company they claim is making straws from their resin has no web site. They gave 36 Indian companies free product to try out and not one has placed an order thus far. Who knows, but its a lil early for my favorite bar tender lol

Just as an FYI for everyone. Cello-o-Core is a long time maker of straws in the U.S. They have been around a long, long time. However, Straws are straws. They are a commodity item in their market niche. The actual making and forming of straws is highly automated (you form a tube and cut it as it is extruded) and that is about it. A little bit of resin goes a long, long way when making straws. Remember a box of straws is mostly sailboat fuel on the inside. In all honesty, in this instance it would be hard for cerp to announce a sales figure as the customer is actually an on going business, and sounds like they are introducing a new product line based on the resins. Or possibly they are switching bioresins for whatever reason. But needing huge amounts of resins?? Probably not. The company to expect survival needs a lot more base hits like this, and not focus on the long ball.

      • Also, in that latest PR, there was no mention of how many dollars the order was for.

      • Copper,
I wouldn't judge a manufacturing company by its web site---and it's a small company afterall, we are aware of that.
As for the 36 Indian companies...it's too soon to judge whether that is a success or failure.

        Sentiment: Hold
