    Late Filing No Big Deal

However, the reason for delay could be a big deal. The filing was due today and they have five days to file, meaning this action was planned all along. If you read the report in Edgar, it clearly states that they will file within five days of original due date. That's why they chose 5/20 as the date of the earnings announcement.
The move to Indiana is a cost cutting measure. Companies cut costs when revenues not high enough. Again, would not touch this until after earnings announcement.

    • Some great points in this discussion. Id say Hold on this one, just don't put $ you can't lose.

      Sentiment: Hold

    • Agreed...No big deal.
We can speculate all we want...Bottom line, the difference in the filing date is only 5 days!
It could be for any reason--good, bad or indifferent. Maybe Michael Okada's (CFO) dog "ate his homework"!
I don't think the late filing indicates anything in of itself--other than some people at CERP will probably be working through this weekend. :)

      Sentiment: Buy

    • Boooboo...for a moment, consider: could it be that revenues are increasing and in a strategic effort to preserve those increased revenues they move to a location where the corporate tax punch is less...just sayin...the more you make the more you work to preserve earnings...simplified: the CA tax rate for 1997 - Current C- Corp is 8.84%; Indiana is 8.0 but is scheduled to decrease to 7.5% on July 1, 2013 hence the quick move before midyear...if I get an increase in pay, I'm gonna want to put that into a tax exempt vehicle to preserve the increased revenue stream...or, as a minimum, preserve my expectation of that increased revenue stream. The Indiana rate is about in the middle of the pack and can represent a $15K savings on $1M excluding incentives. The move to Indiana came pretty quickly and, interestingly enough, coincided with an improvement in business operations as we've seen...the move from Germany also coincided with the increase in Italian interest and business. As such, I don't believe that the moves and reporting delays was as a result of some negative effect on corporate income, but an increasing positive affect that must be deliberately and conscientiously managed...but that's just me...

      Omni...what say you?

    • so you don't think it has anything to do with the corporation tax rate in California?

    • Probably a good idea. If I were you, I'd wait until they're trading at $35/share and issuing dividends.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy
