    OT: Taseko Mines, Big Quarter

Taskeo Mines is now up and running copper and Moly production near to capacity. They just came out with a PR for the Jan-Mar quarter. This little $1.20 stock may have as much as $0.30 EPS for the year.

The press release (below) tells us 26,500 wet metric tons of copper were sold. There is 2,205 lbs per metric ton. The concentrate is thus 58.43 million pounds. Using the percentages of concentrate last quarter around 25% means total copper shipped was 14.6 million pounds. I estimated $1.38 per pound which yields $20.14 million in copper revenue. Ledcor gets something like $0.10 per pound.

They shipped 78,000 pound of Moly. I assumed they received $28/lb for the shippment. This brings in an additional $2.18 million.

Total revenue for the quarter will be around $22 million. Woo Hoo! Not bad for a company with a $120 million market cap.

Also note folks, they have 6.34 million pounds of copper and 63,000 pounds of Moly in inventory to be sold in the present quarter. This means there is $8.88 millon in copper and $2.02 million in Moly going to be sold ($1.40/lb copper, $32/lb Moly).

These calculations were based on today's PR:
