Copper price was up today and LME warehouse copper stocks continue steady declining. Both point to irrational market behavior regarding copper producers.
It is possible that copper shares are victims of forced liquidation in natural resource mutual/hedge funds. Gold companies are under real pressure, funds receive redemption calls and money managers have to sell shares in all holdings: gold (deservedly) and copper (collateral damage). If this assumption is correct then SCCO should be all right, even in near term.
