read the article it syas LNG imports will increas 30% this year to the U.S. but later it says that 3% of all NG comes from LNG. So 30% times 3% is less than one percent. So what? Adding less than 15 from LNG will not offset the rigs being shut off. NG will be squeezed soon and we all now it.
This is just another article from someone shorting NG. If you read the article it syas LNG imports will increas 30% this year to the U.S. but later it says that 3% of all NG comes from LNG. So 30% times 3% is less than one percent. So what? Adding less than 15 from LNG will not offset the rigs being shut off. NG will be squeezed soon and we all now it.
Tax Foreign Dumped LNG $2 per mcf.
Use the tax per MMcf to pay for schools, health care, state or national uses, why should we let foreign producers gain off of Americans' backs, are we unaware slaves to foreign energy, the $2 tax would probably not even be felt in utility bills as the price of natural gas is 1/2 of what is was a year ago. So these greedy foreign interests who built these large overseas LNG shipping infrastructure want to dump it here, and lower you city ,county, hospital district real mineral property values and cost jobs related to domestic efforts in production ? Lets make them pay a dumping tax ?
I would love to see some sort of duty placed on oil and nat gas if necessary. I tend to be a free trader but, we can't ignore the facts. We are already dependent on foreign oil and to allow ourselves to become dependent on foreign nat gas would be unthinkable. Energy independance is something we can't aford not to acheive. Years ago John kerry proposed a $1 duty on imported oil after the oil embargo to allow us to start down that road and was labled a protectionist. I have wondered where we would have been today had we done as he proposed 20 years ago.
Why not just have the govt get serious about their "from sources here in America that employ Americans" and inform 'other' countries thet the US will not accept LNG as we have plenty here in the US???
If that is the future of our industry, we need a tariff to tax natural gas if domestic price drops below the cost of the imported stuff as they did for steel dumping. Wonder if those so called exports will be short or long on their holdings.
...Rusty I,ve read a lot of your posts over the last feew months, I think you and I think a lot alike...I sold all my NG holdings except HK...I don,t see much future for NG unless a new need for it is established, such as NG powered autos.......T. Boone has the right Idea, starting with heavy trucks.........until I see something positive I'm staying out....period
