Go check the VLO earnings transcript or conf call, and you will find the VLO refinery at Three Rivers(halfway between San Antonio and Corpus Christi and very close to the Eagle Ford) is processing between 25,000 and 40,000 bbl oil each day from the Eagle Ford fields. Just that refinery alone is going to be doing 60K bbl by the end of the year. The rest of the oil is being trucked to other refineries in Texas. As a public service below is from a summary of the VLO call.
"In Q1, co processed an average 25,000 barrels per day of Eagle Ford crude at prices similar to WTI, which replaced expensive waterborne sweet crudes, saving around $11 per barrel in the first quarter. Co is working to use more of this discounted crude oil. Co is now processing 30,000 barrels per day and expect to be at nearly 40,000 barrels per day in June. And by the end of this year, its Three Rivers refinery should have the ability to process almost 60,000 barrels per day of Eagle Ford crude."
