I must have the worst luck ever...

I bought wm, cc and still have them. bought fre, fnm, sold them before too late. just bought aig, hoping to recoup some the lose by holding long. I don't know if its worst luck or worst economy, but its the same, just make me feels better to blame the economy. Now I just put a small portion in those risky stocks. A good lesson I learned but forgot is diversify. I once put 8000 into over 30 stocks averaging 10-20 shares each and set up a portfolio list on yahoo back in 2002. When they went down to 4000, I sold them all and bet on random choises, before long, the account went to near 0. Around 2006, I checked the list on yahoo, It went up to 19000. I checked it yesterday, it is around 9500. Among the 30 stocks, about 4 or 5 disappeared. but some went up 8-10 times. So, I just diversified my protfolio again today. I think this is a good time to buy, maybe it's going lower, but I'll hold it tight this time. I just hope everyone read my post and learn my lession. It is the basic that we too easily forgot, especially when we are greedy.
