Aig has 2.7b shares, 1,665 institutions hold 55.80% of the shares. I don't think you should be concerned that the 21m (.00777) or so shares sold this week will affect this stocks performance.

Vangaurd Fund BOUGHT 4.5 million shares on 11/28/08 and several other funds are buying. Check any financial or other stocks on that sight and you will see many stocks are being sold and bought by funds.

I agree. Funds who had stocks at higher prices are selling. Have to sell if stock drops below $5. Other funds are "scooping up" the values left after the massacre. It is just crazy out there. I am holding for 2-3 years.

You can interpret all that info in many ways. I see alot of the funds need money and have exited or going to exit. Looks like alot of funds are going to buy and have bought and will continue to hold this as this looks good to them. Again all we have to do is wait for market sentiment to change and that may take a few weeks or a few months but I am willing to stand based on my low entry price. I have more shares than most of the people posting here
