AIG is a financial company, thus it has lots of off-balance sheet transactions. You have to look into the foot note of their financial reports to make a sense of its numbers. Today's 30% price pump does not make any sense. There is no material justification for it.
Seems obvious to me that people are buying it because of it's future prospects.
