There were many positives from the conference call, and you certainly cite one of them. AIG is holding back on dividends and share buybacks because they do not want to "move too fast." I like that, as slow and steady wins the race. This stock is going higher!
Methinks the Feds systemic risk review is the reason for holding off on dividends. Its no secret AIG will be named a SIFI but IMO it will be deemed highly capitalized. After this happens in Mar/Apr then capital will be utilized for dividends, buy backs etc.
