More layoffs and more jobs to India. Templeton management should be ashamed of themselves. Fire now, hire more at the end of summer and waste even more money hiring/training crappy associates when you are letting go of the loyal good ones. Way to go on your stock buybacks.... never saw a company do buybacks when their share price was at its peak... but when the Johnson family has a wild hair,.... they don't care who's lives they ruin.

Franklin will be selling gazillions of investment products in India and China. They know what they are doing.

      • these layoffs were people who processed transations for American investments through and worked in the US Transfer Agent. any investments made in Asia and India will be handled by their own respective, already established TA's overseas. the original poster was commenting on sending American jobs over seas and has nothing to do with Franklin's plans to invest overseas. essentially moving the US TA to India (and Poland, to be fair). do they know what they are doing? no one questions that. does it not hurt, perhaps only short term, many families here in the US that will never see a dime of appreciated capital being invested in China and India. absolutely.
