Franklin Resources, Inc. Announces Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year Results
San Mateo, CA, October 25, 2012 - Franklin Resources, Inc. (the “Company”) [NYSE: BEN] today announced net income1 of $492.1 million or $2.31 per diluted share for the quarter ended September 30, 2012, as compared to $455.3 million or $2.12 per diluted share for the previous quarter and $416.0 million or $1.88 per diluted share for the quarter ended September 30, 2011. Net income1 for the year ended September 30, 2012 was $1,931.4 million or $8.95 per diluted share, as compared to $1,923.6 million or $8.62 per diluted share for the previous year.
