I agree. I lightened up by selling some bank stocks that have done well. Went to about 5% cash after being 110% invested since December. This market is long in the tooth but continues to move higher. The sidelined cash keeps using minor pullbacks to get in so chances are if S&P breaks through 1500 and confirms... this ride could continue higher until May! Cashing profits is never a bad tactic though so I may sit this one out and cash in profits over the next two weeks.. May might come early for me. I bought KOL two weeks ago and decided to sit out the ACI train.... believe in the industry but decided to make it a long-term investment by taking out the company specific risk. Good luck to all remaining longs in ACI !!
KOL is a very smart move for an investor who has no desire to short term trade. KOL (and possibly also BTU), are FAR less risky ways to play coal. I would view JRCC and ACI among the most risky (i.e. volatile) of the coal stocks, with ANR probably coming in behind them.
If one does not like volatility, TOTALLY stay away from ACI. I however love it DUE to it's yo-yo motion, which makes it fun to gamble with short term.
