I'm curious what makes you so certain the list of names you posted are all one and the same person. Is it simply because they all hit this board after Avid popped? I'm just wondering about your cognitive skills. I checked a couple of names and they were all created at completely different times - different months and different years. So, I checked a few more and got the same result. What support can you offer for your hypothesis? Are you paranoid by nature, or just when it comes to investing?
Or was it three weeks ago? (Nov. 8 to be exact.) And I guess your computer was down and you couldn't get over to Yahoo until Nov. 30. You really are something, sal-count-sugarr-FICA-smiley etc. You have a good grasp on the fundamentals, but you're only fooling yourself with your silly game if you think anything you post here will have an effect on Avid's stock price.
Good luck with your private board. Will you be spending as much time responding to yourself there as you do here? Whether or not you stay here in the shot-term, my guess is that you'll eventually be back if/when Avid slips below $16 and you've broken even with your short. You'll probably be back under a different ID to berate the longs and tell everyone how you finally have a profit with your Avid position.
11/8/2002 Sugarr_daddy makes his/her appearence on this board: Price = $16.20
11/29/2002 Still at it: Price = $19.83
Dont go anywhere I love the education.
Again, you know the "equation" but you are leaving out a few critical variables:
Time horizon Earnings Irrational exuberence Rational exuberence
You do not know the time horizon of anyone but yourself and you CLEARLY do not know enough about the products that Avid produces to take a stab at what the market opportunity is for Avid and thus the earnings. If only everyone knew what GE or MSFT would do way back in the day we would all be very very rich.
Interesting observation and excellent post! Did you also notice that FICA_Dude and Count_Vladimer also made their debuts on Nov. 8. If you count all of the posts from this guy using at least three IDs, you'll see that he's spending most of his time talking to himself. It's amazing how many of these Yahoo posters think their words have an effect on a stock's price.
However, I do agree with him that Avid is selling at a pretty rich price. I got out this week after doubling my original bet. Maybe I'll miss a little more upside, but getting greedy can get you in trouble, I've found.
I think Count_sugarr_Dude eventually will get back to even on his short if he can afford to stick it out for a while. Avid does have a history of big price swings. Too bad he bet on the wrong direction when it jumped recently to $16. He should've waited another month before placing his bet.
