AVID retained more value since 03/16/00

about l4v's post? It's simply that the industry
has been weak, that far from all the usual
nit-picking about AVID's particular problems, they're in fact
    doing better than their peers.

    Do wish I'd
    bought some PCLE, though...

    • Looking4Value, thanks for all the time and
research in comparing the historical value of Avid shares
and the share value of its peers since March 16,

cndwjdb, commenting on L4V's post, made a good point when
he said, "Avid in fact is doing better than their

Avid and its peers are traded on the NASDAQ and they
were all bruised since that guy Munster made his
predictions back in March 2000. In fact the entire NASDAQ has
      been bruised since last Spring!

Looking4Value observed, AVID has kept more of its value since
last Spring than Autodesk, Media, Pinnacle or
Liberate! When the NASDAQ pops back and maintains its
strength for a sustained period of time, I believe Avid,
because of its present value in comparison to its peers,
will surpass the share price of 21 7/8 that it
established on March 16, 2000 when US Bankcorp Piper Jaffery
was prematurely optimistic on the entire

Avid surpassed analyst's predictions during 1Q2000 and
2Q2000 and will do so IMHO during 3Q2000 and 4Q2000. The
past has been tough for Avid Technology but the future
will be better, especially when the restatement of
      prior earnings have been completely

Disclosures: I am long on AVID.
      Short term: BUY
      term: BUY

      I suggest everyone disclose their
      positions after their post!
