    • "i feel sorry you invested without doing the proper du ediligence"

Don't feel sorry for me. I haven't done anything but speculate with a little money and give myself a reason to try and learn something about this company and this industry. Generally when I do this I find 2 or 3 knowledgeable people on the Message Board who are generous enough to share what they know. Often even if I've made a bum initial decision I end up learning enough about the industry and ultimately I'm steered to another more promising player. This board hasn't been much help in that regard in that no one seems to know much. Granted it isn't easy peeping through the Chinese keyhole. How can people be so sure of themselves, however, when clearly they haven't a clue as to what's going on with this company. I'm speculating but at least I know it and don't pretend otherwise.

    • i know quite a bit about this market -- my estimates are accurate

i feel sorry you invested without doing the proper du ediligence

hopefully your search will uncover something interesting

    • OK. So you don't know anything either but would rather not fully divulge your ignorance. Good for you. Keep your proprietary sources to yourself. I was hoping to find someone that knew something and would share it. You are obviously a box canyon on that front. The search continues.

    • just got another 3200 at 7.20 loading up under 8 and hold

    • >>OK. I accept you at your word.<<

      Smart.

      >>I'm more than ready to be educated.<<

      Good for you.

      >>Please provide names; in what context you spoke with them; what they said; etc.<<

I told you what was said. The context was in relation to the chinese seed market. You have to do the rest of the work on your own. I am not printing my proprietary sources.

      >>It isn't about your credibility.<<

      See above.

      >>Nor do I care about your judgment particularly.<<

      haha

      >>I do care about the reliability of any numbers you might provide<<

They are estimates. The hybrid seed industry in China is growing from $2 billion currently to $4 Billion over the next 4-5 years.

      >>any insights as to why this company, tiny as it might be, has an inside track on the seed business<<

Why don't you read some of the materials that the company has supplied. It is already the LEADER in a highly fragmented industry. The seed industry has 5000 participants, mostly very small regional companies that resell other peoples seeds. Origin is the ONLY company in China that has its own R&D research labs and manufacturing facilities. THE ONLY ONE.

      >>and potentially the fertilizer business as well, in the most populous country in the world.<<

well, i think it is undisputable that china is the most populous country in the world. Secondly, it has enterered an agreement to purchase a $100M (revenue) fertilizer company. This is all a matter of public record.

In what capacity did you meet these people? What are your credentials? Fill me in, please. I have only 6,000 shares at the moment but would like to dig deeper and learn more, and then potentially buy more. I appreciate your help

    • Forbes isn't gonna give ya a good ta go. They're busy and consumed with other things. You either dig deeper or put ur money on CD. GL

    • "why don't you do what i have done...speak to experts about the chinese economy and agriculture...speak to people who follow seed comapanies in the US and Europe - see what their executives think !!!"

OK. I accept you at your word. I'm more than ready to be educated. Please provide names; in what context you spoke with them; what they said; etc. It isn't about your credibility. That's a matter of complete indifference to me. Nor do I care about your judgment particularly. I do care about the reliability of any numbers you might provide , and or, any insights as to why this company, tiny as it might be, has an inside track on the seed business, and potentially the fertilizer business as well, in the most populous country in the world.

In what capacity did you meet these people? What are your credentials? Fill me in, please. I have only 6,000 shares at the moment but would like to dig deeper and learn more, and then potentially buy more. I appreciate your help.

    • how do i know that the seed industry in china will double? why don't you do what i have done...speak to experts about the chinese economy and agriculture...speak to people who follow seed comapanies in the US and Europe - see what their executives think !!!

i have seen many presentations by seed company executives, and i know what the conservatives estimates are
