      I was at the outlets in Carlsbad, California on Black Friday and the place was empty. I take that back their were two crickets playing violins at the front door. I have a feeling the call this week is going to be disastrous.

        Maybe an underperforming store, depending on what time you were there. From the Maryland Gazette (find via search since Yahoo doesn't seem to allow links):

        "Stores at Montgomery Mall opened at midnight on Black Friday to crowds of teenagers, young adults and parents... Long lines formed outside clothing retailers Victoria’s Secret, PacSun, Express and Urban Outfitters just before midnight."
