Please explain: voting shares and non-voting shares

Let's say I have 100 shares of GOOG...
    (1) So my current 100 GOOG shares are voting shares, and they will give me additional 100 non-voting shares?
    (2) Doesn't it mean that my broker needs an additional column in its database to indicate which my 100 shares are voting and which 100 are not?
    (3) When I trade (say, sell 100 GOOG shares), how do I indicate I want to sell 100 voting shares or non-voting shares?
    Please explain. It's so confusing.
