interesting to watch the news regarding Veritas. LGTO was forced to tighten its belt months ago when we got our negative news. LGTO is already to fly and is in a much better position because they won't have to lay off. Also LGTO's networker is the software of choice for MICROSOFT server systems which are gaining wide support and are kicking SUN's but. We win either way. Great..
Right ... and why then is Legato Notworken not listed as a W2K certified solution and VERITAS NetBackup and Backup Exec are?
Ah- now I see it. IT's funny how the annual report filed with the SEC is entirely different than what is sent to the public. (not legato bashing-I'm sure this applies to most companies)
I don't even see it on page 8 Here is the doc I am looking at.
. Can you send me a link to the doc you are looking at?
>>>LGTO's networker is the software of choice for MICROSOFT server systems <<<
You keep making this claim without anything to support it. How about a link to some documentation?
Here' a quote from Vijay Soodeen-lead engineer, Cable & Wireless a-Services.
"Cable & Wirelss needed a scalable enterprise solution for our Windows 2000 enviroment. WE CHOSE LEGATO NETWORKER PRODUCTS BECAUSE THEY ARE CERTIFIED ON WINDOWS 2000, AND THE COMMITMENT BETWEEN MICROSOFT AND LEGATO WAS A STRONG FACTOR". He goes on. "Our customers benefit from their (Legato) leading edge technology because we can provide rapid deployment ,faster speed, throughput, reliability, and resiliency of our customers' data, USING THE LEGATO/MICROSOFT SOLUTION lowers our total cost of ownership in our IT infrastructure. Also, the technical expertise and professional attitude of the Legato support staff have made the implementation of NetWorker very successful".
