The most disturbing element for investors in VIDE is not a financial quarter that shows a small loss BUT it is a message board without messages from interested investors. It sure appears like the crew has left.
It may be that our SS VIDE is being slowly maneuvered to becoming a new ship, the SS ORDWAY, no longer an investor-owned vessel but one that is privately owned.
There is hardly any news about VIDE. I wish Captain Ordway would send a message from time to time from his "radio room" of our SS VIDE. There's all kinds of ears looking for his signals, i.e. Motley Fool, WS Journal, RTT News, etc.
What do you think is happening? HEY, ANYONE ON BOARD, that is "on this message board" ??? Will our SS VIDE finish its drifting and set a course like other small cap companies????
Today is the day the sealed bids are due on the Fox Business. This is their wholesale distribution business and it lost 800K in the first 9 months of 2010. Most of that was in the third Q due to a procurement issue with SONY. This has since been resolved so I imagine this business is a mainly breakeven business (I didnt check past financials to ensure but for 2010, this would have been the case without Q3), For the first 9 months of 2010, this business did 14.8mm in sales or about 25% of total sales. Without this business, mgmt should be able to focus their efforts on the Display Business which is profitable (8% profit margin in 2010 so far). If Fox sells, I think this is a great move for the company. I hope they are able to get some cash for it which they could use to pay off debt or invest in more profitable ventures. CEO Ordway has been a constant acquiror of company stock. With this auction process out of the way, I would expect him to maybe be able to resume his insider purchases.
Today's volume is certainly interesting. Someone cares....
Will be interesting to see what the numbers look like ex-Fox. Year end is Feb 28 though I dont expect any earnings for a while.
