In Australia, Tropical Cyclone Narella will take a turn to the east on Monday as it remains just offshore of Western Australia. The storm will significantly weaken to tropical storm strength with winds between 39 and 73 mph (33 and 64 knots). Flow around this system will spread some scattered showers and thunderstorms onshore, but heavy rainfall and strong storms will remain offshore. Elsewhere in Australia, a trough of low pressure over the east will continue triggering scattered showers and thunderstorms over far eastern New South Wales and Queensland. Expect Sydney to see partly cloudy skies with a chance of rain early and highs in the mid-70s(F)/ mid-20s(C).
