q1 2014 cash $533 mil q4 2013 mil cash $619 (from financial report). Remember this is cash only.
Net cash (used in) provided by operating activities $(53.9) mil. (from mgmt statement)
Depending on how you read financial report or mgmt statement the cash burn was between $53 mil and $86 mil.
Yearly burn rate would be between $212 mil and $344 mil. This is the range that wallstreet is looking at and what is determining premarket price.
Yes liquidity increased to $1.2 billion because of Rice sale proceeds. Yes they have another joint venture completed (with no announcement on value).
Wallstreet is looking at known facts, and the cash burn is still significant. Mgmt has proven they are taking the right step, but basically the report says the turn around will take place end of 2014 and beginning of 2015. What wallstreet is saying is that there's time to get in before the real positives start to show up.
If you believe in the turnaround mgmt has proven they are taking the right steps. Wallstreet is saying you have more time to buy shares before the facts if a turnaround are actual.
wall street? LOL, if wall street konw met coal future price, why don't they directly trade on the desk, instead they sell report, give advice (let others take risk, while they make sure money). worse is that sometimes they tell you the opposite, watch today how they play.
shorts did not expect this, neither did I, lots of yo-yo action happenes at the top and at the bottoms, they will look for the negatives in this report in order to cover low and load as much as they can into lowered price
