Finally getting some notice but still missing the radar. I've been on it since early 2010 after they got a capitial injection from a SPAC. Based in SoCal the meltown hurt badly. People aren't seeing the big picture of what they're doing. It's midcap, for one, and they probably just look at the negative earnings and turn away. But the revenue is starting to jump, and it's going to soar. They've got the pedal to the metal and aren't letting up. They keep raising capital to buy more high quality distressed property around the world. Buying a large asset management portfolio in Spain is a great move. They'll establish themselves as serious players in that market, build their network and replicate what they've been doing in UK and Ireland. They're careful, methodical and value oriented. Anyone interested should read the latest call transcript to start. I like this one a lot.
I've owned shares for a couple of years now. If history repeats, price will probably decline about 10% over the next couple of days due to the common stock offering, but will soon thereafter reach new highs. They seem to issue new common when they have identified profitable investments.
Interesting that the stock rose on the offering, contrary to past offerings. Perhaps the offering was underpriced and/or oversubscribed, or just very high interest in this stock since they've branched into European real estate and loan portfolios.
