And after the Fed Announcement ?

Those expecting some miracle announcement of more money printing by our Fed that will result in massive expansion of the monetary base and inflation, followed by an explosion in the metals complex may be in for a let down.

All of the Fed's "printed money" money has not, and under current conditions cannot, develop any velocity to spark inflation. There is instead a wet blanket of deflation threatening to smother everything.

This is a calssic case of "buy the rumor sell the news." So be ready before Uncle Benny drops the bomb.

    • I expect at the very least the Fed will announce another round of Operation Twist or something similar to it on Wednesday, not quite the full blown QE we were expecting (as inflation hasn't waned). But we'll see. If Europe blows up this weekend, all bets are off and the Fed could step in with both barrels loaded.

As for Aurcana, the trading definitely stinks. I've emailed Gary at IR to see if they're looking into it. I reckon this is the MMs and funds playing games. Still, the number of shares that exchanged hands after close was incredible - all in a matter of minutes, too.
