    Aurcana operations

    We should see an announcement next week that the mine has entered commercial production at 600 tons per day mining and milling. (40% of capacity of 1,500 tons per day) { about 380,000ozs/qrt of silver based on 40% of full 3.8 million yearly goal} That should translate into $9-10 million per qrt in sales for shafter for the 1st qrt 2013.

    We will not see increased sales until the first qrt reports of next year because the concentrate has to be refined. That won't be for about a month. (Will show up in inventory in 4th qrt)

    • Thanks for info rholl. Do you have any insight on the following questions? Why has concentrate that has been processed to date not been sent to the refinery (actual small amounts of ore started to be processed starting as early as late April and has been increasing gradually over the last 7 months) ? Are they storing all the concentrate on site until the declaration of commercial operation?

      • There has not been any large scale silver production until the last few weeks.
        Remember that they just installed the dewatering system (decantation) and permanent cyanide mixing equipment about the end of September. Since then they have probably been ramping up to the 600 tons per day throughput level. They said that they need additional filters and condenser tanks to maintain a greater level of throughputup to 1,500 tons per day. { They should now have a good idea of the banks of filters and condensing tanks necessary to maintain the intended 2,500 tons per day throughput, a year fom now}
        The potential few thousands of ozs of concentrate are probably in inventory.
