I have owned it, but don't own any currently. I have called and talked to the CEO in the past, very nice guy that has almost all of his net worth in Alexco. That says a lot. I think they are unique in that they do work for the Canadian Government in mine remediation. To me that means that they are tops in doing things that don't damage the enviroment...so when they need to do something with the government regarding permits for their own mines, etc. they should be getting almost rubber stamping because of their expertise and history with the government of Canada. As my name implies I am no guru. To be honest I just kind of forgot about Alexco as i have been chasing Aurcana and a couple of other stocks. Thanks for reminding me. I should have bought some yesterday. It looks relatively cheap to me. I don't think you can go wrong on any of the reputable miners. Alexco is one of them. I think their management is as honest as they come.
Thank you. You saved yourself some money by forgetting about them, but they seem to be making a come back in share price. Their costs have been high last couple of reports. I have been watching the P/E and it seems very high to me even considering it is a mining stock. It was at 255 earlier this year. Does anyone think P/E counts in mining companies?
