    I out smarted myself

A month ago - I invested a small amount in the EWL - on the theory - that the Swiss economy would benefit from having no sovereign debt problem. Shows you what I know. Straight down anyway. I forgot that Swizerland is in Europe.

    • What is strange is that Switzerland still has their own currency, and one of the lowest debt/GDP ratios in the world. They export a lot for such a small country population (biggest food company in the world, some of the biggest drug companies, banks, precision manufacture, etc.). Are they being pulled into the mess just because they are geographically in the middle of Europe even though they are not in the Euro? The US will probably end up paying more to help fix the European debt issues through the IMF than Switzerland will pay.

I think Switzerland is being sold off because they are held in big European funds, which are being sold off in mass. Just like the end of the mass selloff in 2008, big investors will pick through the ashes for things that should have not gone down with the masses. For now, it is still sell first, ask questions later,
