    Why the rights offering?

    I don't understand. Without changing the charter they could have done a preemptive stock offering. Instead they did a rights offering which seems to be roughly the same thing. Why did they try to change the charter when they could have done that all along?

    • It is a guess but I look for them to move to merge/buy something in the next 12 months and I think the move to the NAZ is still in play behind the scenes.

      Positioning them selves for the gowth coming out of this economical deboggle we are presently in.

      Remember, they're building a Ins. co, just bought the Trust Co. of which both are said to be on their own and profitable plus they still paid out a smaller div. .03Q .12anl, So the Offering got to be for a growth situation IMHO. We'll See!
