    You're right: product looks great

As of Friday we now have around 30 pieces on the
floor, full dining room and bedroom now on display.
Occasional also, and what should be a big seller...the wall
    units.

I am still very disappointed with the quality as
compared to similar price points of items from Hooker, and
    Stanley.

Continental Tapestry is now a minor feature on our floor
because of it's slow selling as salespeople stayed away
    from it.

    you're right...these
    products

Look great, just don't get too involved with looking
at drawer construction, gluing, among other
    features.

However, this increases our selling of Lexington: we use
the Broyhill to show our customers what 30% more will
    buy in Lexington.

    • i think they were referring to helig meyer

    • What's your impression of Stanley's products? They seem to have some decent kids and home office items, but what about their other lines?

      • Stanley offers some of the best value in the
        industry.

I should have included Stanley in my reply about
showing other lines as an upgrade from
        Broyhill.

Recently I was on vacation in Vancouver,British Columbia.
There is a department store chain in Canada, known as
the Hudson Bay Company. They have a nice store in
downtown Vancouver and a very good looking furniture floor
(approx 30,000 sg ft.) Furniture prices
        there are
almost double what they are here in the eastern US, but
        the value is still there.

        Shipping furniture
over 3000 miles and thru Canadian tariffs still sees
Stanley as a value line for their Canadian
        customers.

The "Reflections of the 20th Century" line looks
great, made well. ( except I wish they would have used
wood on wood drawer glides.) Exceptionally looking
        bedrooom.

"British Colony" is really right on for the current
        trends.
