AORE definitely is moving up steadily, still keeping an eye on it. You may be right in that someone could come in and scoop it up. AGO seems the likely candidate.....for a final commutation and then who knows. Schlock used to have some good insight, you out there?
Still here. Still holding a lot of securities. Obviously I'm pleased with the FGIC commutation. Would love to see a commutation with AGO or, in the alternative, an acquisition of AORE by AGO (which frankly, would be the smarter move by AGO due to relative market value to book, plus AGO could leave the prefs outstanding). I have some concerns that Tynan will let his desire to provide underwriting services to AORE get in the way of an acquisition, making it harder to get a commutation done. Ahhh, agency risk, it never really ends, even when you down to one employee.
