    Why no EPS Growth?

Yahoo Finance indicates revenue growth of 29% from 2009 to 2010 - $524m to $676m.

But, 5 analysts project static EPS, $2.24 in 2009 and 2010. What accounts for this?

Are eps estimates out of date? Will cost of new business model - store openings, cut into earnings?

    • If you go back and look at all of the press releases for quarterly earnings -- and the guidance, provided by FUQI, on future EPS performance -- you'll see that the company is very conservative on their projections. IMO the analysts follow the company's guidance for the next year for the most part.

Historically, FUQI has beaten the estimates 4 out of 5 times (and met the estimates the other time). But historical performance is no guarantee for the future. Time will tell. I'm hoping for a blow-out quarter -- heavy emphasis on "hoping."
