It's worse for Docent than even that - the survey respondents were, I believe, the customers that each company nominated to review their product. You would imagine every company could dig up a few customers that would give them 9+ in all categories - but obviously not.
Where did you hear the sample was as low as 3 for some companies? I agree that's a possibility for the top two on the list - they probably only have about 3 customers each!
