they don't have actual "RARE" E.E's that they really need to take over the industry. I think we'll see MCP bid/buy a really "RARE" E.E. company like AVL (only $2+/share) in the very near future. GMHO - Agree or no? Strong buy on both.
MCP does have the really rare rare earths. It would be better if their assay were higher. They are actively looking around their claims on Mountain Pass. There are also ores with higher HRE assays within a few miles of the Mountain Pass refinery. My guess is that MCP can get the ore it needs at a good price.
FWIW, knowing the price of a share of stock is not adequate to know if there is value in it. Market cap and the underlying values of cash, other assets and earnings/share are needed to know if $2.00/share is a value or not. So far as I know, Avalon has no earnings or cash flow.
also, Avalon has a $1 Billion price tag just to start pulling out HREEs. that on top of cost for buying the company is way too much debit for MCP. gotta know debt levels on both sides before you start to talk about what a company can and can't do
