I hear you. My son wants to get into fbiox but is waiting for a good entry point. This fund has been so hot I don't know if we are going to see it below $140 again. I'm not complaining. This fund is changing my life.
Proper entry point? In my opinion, under $100. I am serious. Might take a couple years but sure beats buying at say $130 and watching dead money for a decade. I am in at $55 a share and close to selling. This, like all bubbles will end badly.
Entry or exit? Some day I get the urge to pull the trigger to either buy more or cash out, but not today. :P
What happens to not put all the eggs in one basket? Any wise person would probably tell us to take some FBIOX off the table. I have much, much smaller chunks of pharmaceuticals (FPHAX) and health care (FSPHX) that don't perform nearly as well as FBIOX. So it's a tough call. What do you think?
Take some FBIOX off the table. There, now you heard from a wise person. Actually, I added to my position about 30 days ago and I'm holding tight. I have a similar position in FSCHX but it really doesnt perform anywhere near as well as FBIOX (but did in 2012). I'm keeping FSCHX as it is a nice complimentary fund...it acts different and will offset down days many times. Not a high flyer yet. Any thoughts on FSCHX? I have been tempted to bail on it many times. I would hold FSPHX until Q3 or so.
Will probably be close to $150.00 p/s today. Its hard to take money out of this hot fund.. I have been in this fund since 2004 and I could not be more pleased. I wish I put more bucks in it back then but I am happy.
