Unless broadsoft makes a new organic play, I thing this stock is going to languish at these levels for a while, IMO. On that note, what do you think is the likelihood or viability of Broadsoft being acquired. Here's some thoughts from seeking alpha:
"BSFT remains an extremely attractive candidate for a host of large-cap technology companies like IBM (IBM), Oracle (ORCL), SAP (SAP), and Cisco just to name a few... In summary, BSFT's risk/reward is 50% upside and 15% downside if it mis-executes over the next 2-3 quarters."
"The cost, complexity and unclear ROI of on-premise managed Unified Communications solutions have led to restrained enterprise adoption, which is why we believe that innovative, hosted solutions are critical for enterprises and consumers to realize the full benefits that UC can deliver," said Sunanda Jayanth, research analyst, Frost & Sullivan. "BroadSoft's BroadCloud offering empowers service providers to deliver a full range of UC services managed and hosted under their own brand, and leaves BroadSoft uniquely positioned in this competitive space."
Perhaps this entry into the European market is the trigger we were waiting for. Hopefully, there's more to the UK market than what today's press release leads us to believe, and that after UK, the other EU companies will follow suit, and get on the Broadsoft bandwagon.
