ozlander, I disagree. Max Bialystock will find some sucker to keep his vampire company going. The only way this will end is when he has to face his maker or his jailor. Max Bialystock knows the nature of the beast. There's always a troublesacomin out there willing to gamble on a penny stock. How old is Max, 103? He's got at least another 500 years of bloodsucking before the stake catches up to him. He may buy the rights to some 30 year old drugs that no one has ever taken serious interest in- maybe something developed in North Korea- and market it like it's the second coming. He may run the clinical trials (maybe starting with 13 patients and working his way up to 20 patients over a 10 year period-- slow and steady) in Siberia, Mongolia, Bolivia, Tibet, Senegal and the island of Palau-- that way Dr. Dan can get some frequent flyer miles in (and maybe a tan). He will make sure that there's a "new" drug started when that drug finally fails so he can switch gears to the next big thing prior to announcement discontinuation. Or maybe he'll spin out the drug into a new company called KscamRX, a pure oncology play focused on the most power and compelling scams ever seen in biotechnology. This company will focus on "saving lives" by taking people's lives and all their money so that they will no longer have anything to worry about. The compensation committee of the Board can pay him over $1 million a year for his savvy use of scamming to better the lives of .... himself.
