believe it or not I have made the most money doing just that. Avering down is intellectually easy but often the wrong thing to do. Averaging up is difficult emotionally, but is normally the correct course of action.
I have been in this stock for 5 years. I bought some 7 calls this AM on the dip. Yes, adding to an already sizable(for me) bet.
Regardless your cost base at this point, if you believe the trial data is positive next week to propel the stock, average up is the right thing to do. I believe the future, not just the short-term, is very positive for this biotech, even in the unlikely possibility for negative result next week. I have averaged UP 6,000 shares today.
