i found the link on the investor village message boards posted by rob. i tried reading it, and saw ZIOP was mentioned a ton, but me, being a molecular and cell bio guy i dont understand what all that stuff means. i understood the part where XON may have to pay $29M to ZIOP.
how is ZIOP a surrogate share to XON? what is a surrogate share? (i googled and just saw stuff on babies)
Basically XON needs ZIOP to do well so if you want to invest in XON and it's too expensive - then play ZIOP as XON - while not completely dependent on ZIOP - has a strong vested interested in ZIOP's success with IL12. So in theory - if ZIOP does well it helps XON share price and if ZIOP fails it hurts XON's share price and somewhat the other way around. XON will take care of ZIOP and so will Kirk.
